Configuring ESM Data Allocation Policy

Jump to solution

Hi Friends,

Does re-configuring ESM data-allocation settings on the ESM requires cpservices or dbservices restart?

Im just getting confused whether need restart services or not.

Kindly suggest.

Regards,

kotresha

i can't find any official documents online that confirms this, but I've been told by McAfee Support and from personal experience this indeed require a service restart. Length of time depends on the amount of existing data on your esm.

Thansk for responding, could you please share required link/document to confirm the same?

I did tried everywhere but it only specified how to do but not given any services restart conditions so.

Data allocation modification service restart.PNG

While modifying it will ask for restart of the ESM services and it automatically restart required ESM services once we click on yes

 Thanks for your help.
