Add Device Fails

I'm trying to add an Event Receiver to the device list in the ESM and after entering in the IP Address and select Next a message appears and states, "Error: Saving this information causes a duplicate record. Please change settings and retry. (ER24)

I previously had the Event Receiver connected with this IP Address but it was deleted.

Re: Add Device Fails

The IP address may still be existing in the device cluster & IPS table if the ESM.

Please open a service request with Technical Support so that you can have the respective entry removed from the device cluster & IPS table of the ESM local DB.

After performing the above action, the device can be added to the ESM.

Can we fix the problem ourselves or not?

Re: Add Device Fails

It is always recommended to raise SR with Support whenever you need to make changes at DB level.
