http://vs.mcafeeasap.com/mc/vs60 Script Errors

Has anyone come across this type of error before?

It's on a site with Windows XP PCs running IE7 and Mcafee 6

Every PC receives this error every hour during day.  It looks like when it's trying to update.

In teh Partners portal, I only see one machine, where there should be 20 PCs  The PC that shows is actually a 2008 Server so the issue is with IE7 or XP.

Is there any way of getting around this error?

Thanks in advance

At some stage those XP machines should be upgraded to IE8.

McAfee 6? Partners Portal?   What is the name of the software you are talking about please?

Is this Enterprise?   If so I will move it.

OK vs.mcafeeasap.com tells me this is McAfee SaaS, not a Home Product, so have moved it there.  Hopefully someone will help you soon.

Re: http://vs.mcafeeasap.com/mc/vs60 Script Errors

Hi Sathish

The exact error is

Internet Explorer Script Error

Line 1

Char1

Error Invalid Character

Code 0

URL http://vs.mcafeeasap.com/MC/VS60/Scripts/Common.js

Do you want to contniue with the script Yes or No.

This is all in a IE pop up window.  It shows even if you don't have IE open and about every hour it pops up.

Many thanks

Re: http://vs.mcafeeasap.com/mc/vs60 Script Errors

Hi davecleaver,

Do you use a proxy server? If yes, please try to delete all cache files on the proxy server against mcafeeasap.com. If you are not using a proxy, then go ahead to delete IE cache files.

I hope this would work.

Best Regards,
Tuk
