What do I do about Items Detected?

I have Total Protection and after a Full Scan the report shows 2 Trojans and 1 Potentially Unwanted Programs.  The scan ran unintended so I was not there to respond to any prompt.  How can I find out what it found?  More importantly, what did it do when it found these items?

Thanks!

Re: What do I do about Items Detected?

Hi,

I have read your post.

To learn about the files that McAfee had already detected, you can view them under the Quaratined folders.

1. Right click on the M icon and select open console

2. On the top right, click on Action Menu and select Product details

3. Opposite to the McAfee Virus and Spyware protection you can see a Link that says "Quarantined Files" and another link that says "PUP".

4. Click on the respective links to know more about the files that were quarantined.

The names on the screen are different in Total Protection but you did help me find what I needed.

Thanks!

Kenglander,

McAfee takes the following actions when it it set to Protected mode :-

1} Clean

2} Delete ( A copy is created in the Quarantine) Folder.

So I guess now you know what happened to those detections
