Can't download all the software packages

Hello guys

I just purchased the Total Protection Service for Small Business online, after I finished the 2 months value period othat I had of it.

Now I was installing the TPS and when it's almost completed it says that it's "impossible to download all the software packages needed" giving me this link:

I can not access this link because it's protected, and now it's the 4th installation that I do and that says me this.

Could somebody help me??

May I know how many licenses you purchased and how many computers have you installed the software on ?

Plus, Next time you install the software, Please delete all temporary files, Browsing history, cookies etc.

Set the Security and Privacy settings to MEDIUM

Turn off the Pop up blocker

Make sure that the internet connectivity is perennial and is not snapping up

Start the installation and it shall complete.

If not please, please post the exact error that you get

Going by experience, there can be several causes for this. I would try following KnowledgeBase article KB52170 first. If this fails, it would be worth logging a case with McAfee Technical support, referencing the article used.

Hi again.

Thanks for the advice, I solved it but in another way. I had a trial version of 2 months of TPS pre-installed on my admin pc. I tried another time the way you told me, Sameer, but it didn't work. So I went looking for the CD of my pre-installed programs, and there were the trial version of TPS. Installing it again, TPS recognized that I bought the license so it just started working with no problems.

Thanks for everything, anyway I couldn't complete the download in the normal way.

I have the same problem: I have done what is described in the article KB52170, but I have not the CD of McAffee. I bought a license for 3 years for what?

You do not need the Installation CD of McAfee ToPS.

Please make sure that you are not accessing the internet through a Proxy and also care should be taken that the computer is having perennial connectivity.

1} Delete all the Internet History including the offline content.

2} Disable the pop up Blocker

3} Set the Security and Privacy settings to MEDIUM.

4} Now, Log on to Enetr your email address and password

5} Please click on " INSTALL NOW " option from the dashboard.

6} Once you click on it, Select the components you want to install.


Please follow the onscreen instructions and complete the installation.

Hi everyone,

McAfee Support has found! Use KB50700 (silent uninstall)

In summary, on Vista, you have to:

- desactivate popup blockers

- set security level to Medium in IE

- desactivate Windows Defender et Windows firewall

- download vssetup.exe on htpp:// (in the utilities sheet)

- Note your key which is in the utilities sheet

- Execute, with DOS, the following command: vssetup.exe /CK=your_key /Email=your_email /P=VFB

- reboot

that's all folks!
