Cannot connect to family

Jump to solution

Installed Safe Family to Samsung Calaxy S3 mini. When trying to "connect family" it only says that "something went wrong".

What is the problem here ?

Hi

You will need to install Safe Family on a Windows device first and then add you family members including their age etc. Once you are set up with the family details, go to the Mobile device and connect with your family members. Post back for clarifications.

I read this in a support FAQ:

Family Protection for Android is a streamlined, mobile-friendly version of McAfee Family Protection. Extended management screens are only available from a PC or Mac. In order to properly install and use Family Protection on your Android device, you must first install Family Protection to a PC or Mac and create an Administrator login (username and password). Without this Administrator login, you will be unable to log in to Family Protection on your Android device.

Is that any help?

Oops I think that might refer to Family Protection rather than Safe Family which is a new Intel product.

Hi markku.mettala,

To clarify, for Intel Security Safe Family, you can setup and create a family from any supported operating system - WIndows, Android or iOS. the issue that you were running into was experienced around when we were having some system issues. Can you try again and see if you continue to have the issues from Galaxy S3 mini? If so, can note the time at which you tried? That will help us better troubleshoot what issue you might have run into.

Thanks,
E-ming
