Your answer is helpful, but you should emphasize (maybe by putting in bold) that you HAVE TO access Total Protection FROM THE MAIN GUI (probably on the Desktop) in order for this solution to work.

If instead you access the Total Protection screen by double clicking on the Total Protection Icon in the Systems Tray, it will open an essentially identical screen to what you'd get by opening it from Total Protection the main GUI, BUT for some reason, when you open "Remove cookies and trackers," the page does not have either the "Settings" or the "Schedule" options available.  Those only show up if you access this by starting at the main GUI.  Don't know why there is this difference, but it is the way it is.

Have you tried (Right ) clicking the McAfee icon in the lower tray,and select (Privacy) to access your settings? It works for me....
