Traffic Direction

Jump to solution

Hello,

We found in the real time threat analyzer that traffic from Internet towards our network is detected as outbound and the traffic from our network towards Internet is detected as inbound.

We believe that we can fix the direction changing the physical connections between the ports B and A in the NSP. However it will cause a downtime.

Could we solve the issue configuring the port A as outside and the port B as inside?

Thanks.

Puga,

Instead of changeing the physical connections on the sensor, you can change the Port settings in the Manager.

For A and B port settings in the NSM, you can define if this is "outside network" or "inside network".   You could go here and simply reverse the settings you have and see if that makes a difference.   After you make the change, you will need to push the configuration.  There should be no down time (or minimal) to the sensor.
