Hi all

I want to know in which conditions we use quarantine option ? For example I want to block specific ip that is attacking on my local network In that case will I use the quarantine option or firewall rule?Also Should I block whole signature ?

Selecting Quarantine/Block depends on the signature name and requirement. 

Basic difference between will be -

quarantine: An IP can be quarantined automatically for min. 5 min and max. 60 minutes. After that time device will be released from Quarantine. Also there is an option to manually add IP in quarantine. A quarantined IP will be disconnected from network services excluding for exceptions provided.

Signature block - traffic will be explicitly dropped.
