Re: Offsite Database backup of NSM from server

Hi User27622125,

Is there something preventing you from just copying the backup files across your network to your local machine?

What exactly is the problem that you are having?

Regards

Re: Offsite Database backup of NSM from server

Hi User27622125,

Yes, you can do that, you will need to run an All Tables backup if you want all the alert data, or you can just use the Alert Archival feature to export only the alert data.

You can set both of these to run automatically from the Manager > Maintenance Tab.

The files are stored on the manager server in the /app/backup and /app/alertarchival directories.

For the backups you will get 2 files, a .dmp and a .jar file, make sure you take them both as they are both needed for a restore.

Regards

Peter
