Just recently joined a big financial organisation that bought Network Security Manager 5.1 in 2008. Since that time there has been no any update to the signatures and software.
I was trying to update and it needs some id and password from McAfee. How do I get these two things to initiate the update?

you need to use your Grant Number as username and password.
I forgot to add that the latest 5.1 and 6.0 release do not require you to enter any credentials for authentication, so after the installation/upgrade you should be able to access the update server without problems.
Thanks David, I got the grant number from the supplier last week for the vulnerability scanner. I guess it will work for the network security platfrom as this were bought under one umbrella. Thanks.
