Hi Alisher,

Set your base directory in TFPTD32 as the folder with the .cfg file in it. See instructions below

http://www.tricksguide.com/how-to-setup-a-tftp-server-tftpd32-windows.html

Also check the log viewer and see if it's capturing anything.

Or run wireshark on the tftp server to see if any traffic is coming from the sensor.

Hi,

Doesn't work. Sensor can not download .cfg file. Wireshark show only ICMP packets

Hey Alisher,

Are you still having issues with this or were you able to get it working?

If it's still not working have you tried a different TFTP software?

Below are the tools recommended by McAfee

Third-party recommended software for Network Security Platform

Hi Alisher,

Is the TFTP server showing any progress after you start the transfer?

Are the TFTP server and M-1450 on the same network segment?

Is there much latency between them?

Have you tried using the TFTP server with another device to ensure it works?

Hello Alisher,

If this is still an issue, please upload screenshots of the error, the directory that you have the netboot files in, and what software you are using for the tftp server. Also please note that if you do not hit esc soon enough, the netboot process will fail. In the netboot instructions, step 4 outlines what the console should look like when netbooting if you hit escape soon enough vs if you waited too long.

Netboot instructions can be found at http://menshen1.intruvert.com/image/netboot_1450/netboot_instructions_M1450.pdf

You will need to have a grant that can access menshen in order to download this pdf.

I hope this is helpful.

Regards,

Matthew Jesmer
