NSP packet capturing problem

Jump to solution

Hi all,

I configured port cluster on IPS-NS7300 port 2/1 2/2 2/3 2/4 and everything is working properly (logs/alarms are coming, etc.)

But now I need to capture some packets and even if I set the following settings (monitoring port = All) nothing is captured (logs are )

Do you happen to know where is the problem?

Thank you

Petr B.

Hi Petr,

Have a look at the below KB article, it seems to match your issue. The solution is to upgrade the sensor software, 8.2.5.145 is the latest version of 8.2.x software for the NS-Series

Packet capture fails and produces a zero byte PCAP file when taken from an NS-7300

Regards

Peter

Hi Petr,

Are you running V8.3.x software?

Is this a function that previously worked and has now stopped working?

Hi,

Sorry for late answer,

Version: 8.2.5.100 (NS7300) so can it be caused by software version?

because packet capturing is working properly on my second device  8.2.5.74 (NS9100)

thx

Petr
