Hi User27622125,

If you want to upgrade to Windows Server 2012 you can do it. However, McAfee does not provide the OS for upgrading the Windows Server OS.

In this case you can use your own Windows Server 2012 OS.

NSM 9.2.x will work just fine with Windows 2012, just make sure that you are using the version noted in the release notes.

This is the latest 9.2 version recently released:

https://docs.mcafee.com/bundle/network-security-platform-9.2.9.x-9.2.5.x-manager-ns-series-release-n...

This information has the supported Windows Server versions for the NSM server.

Regards,

@User27622125

Hi User27622125

Below is the KB for backing up your NSM DB and how to restore it.

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB68723

For backing up all your data, make sure to get an All Tables Backup. (mentioned in the KB)

Note: When restoring a backup, the NSM has to be in the same version of the backup for example. If you have a backup for NSM 9.2.9.55. The restore of the DB backup will only work in a NSM with 9.2.9.55.
