I am currently running a Proof of concept with ver 8.2 of NSM. I am struggling to connect to the console because of Java issue. I have to connect via rdp to the NSM server and run everything thru it. My question is this. Does anyone know if McAfee is planning on getting away from the Java plugin since it will no longer be supported on firefox and chrome and if so when. So far the front end of this has been a challenge to say the least and seems a bit clugey.
I am using V8.2 of NSM and do not have an issue with Java. Some of the pages that use Java are slow to load, but normally load after a minute or so. I'm using the latest Chrome browser with NPAPI support enabled which allow it to run Java. I'm running the latest version of Java on my client.
From NSM V8.3 Java applets will no longer be used in the GUI which should resolve the issue.
