GAM UPDATE FAILURE ON IPS

Hi McAfee Community,

I'm having issue with the McAfee GAM update.

 

Here is the information about the appliance:-

Current Manager version: 9.1.7.75

Sensor Software: 9.1.5.56

Current GAM version : 6787 (7001.2017.3112)

Sensor Model : N7300

 

What I have done so far:-

1. Verify updates are set to automatic.

2. Verified Name resolution which are inherited and they are tested successfully to both Primary and Secondary DNS.

3. Rebooted the NSM Host Server

4. There is no NTBA appliance currently attached to the Manager.

 

Any help will be highly appreciated,

Just one advise, the version you posted here is like a Downgrade, I do not recommend that option. In another hand, the link you sent is related to 9.1.5.63 version. If you are planning to upgrade to that version, please consider the following KB: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB91575

Any errors or information you can share with us?

Thanks for getting back.

 

Yes, I did check the logs but not sure what to look for. 

 

On the other hand, NSM Manager 9.1.7.77 and Sensor Software 9.1.3.14 for N Sensor may resolve this issue as per the URL below. Check the resolution section

Once the update is done, I will let you know.

In the meanwhile, if you think this is not the case, can you please advise what to look for in .ems logs.

Thanks for valuable inputs. 

Correction to my previous post.

My Target Manager version is: 9.1.7.77 and Sensor Software is: 9.1.5.63

Hi Lucas,

 

Just wanted to update you that since updating to NSM 9.1.7.77 with Signature Set 9.1.5.63, GAM issue and other cosmetic issues that were showing up on running Health Check is resolved.

Also, I did not need to perform Steps as per KB91575 as there were no issues with the Disk Space.
