Alert for the IPS

Is it possible to create the alert on the NSM if the IPS sensor lost connectivity with the NSM?

Thanks

Re: Alert for the IPS

Hi Bola_2911,

These alerts should be generated in the manager, you will see them in the System Health dashboard, but the alert will clear by itself if the conectivity is restored.

You can configure them to be emailedto you under Manager > > Setup > Notification > Faults >

Peter

Re: Alert for the IPS

Hi there

Yes. The NSM will autogenerate a sytem fault, and you can forward sytem faults (sensor reboot, connectivity issue, ports up/down) via syslog/email/etc to automate a response.

David
