McAfee LiveSafe trail is only 30 days plus a 30 days grace period but after 30 days grace period an additonal 20 or 19 days extension is added. Now the added number of days is over but still my Mcafee protection is still active. It has been 40 days now since the end of the extended days but still my McAfee protection is still active.
How long is the trial of McAfee Livesafe?
Actually if you had 'Auto Renewal' enabled, you would have already been renewed/Contacted. Being uncertain of your (Affld #) I am uncertain if your trial offer was provided by a third party. However, You can always contact Customer Service Directly, and quite possibly get a discounted rate on your renewal.
And it is (Free) https://service.mcafee.com/webcenter/portal/cp/home/contact
Because eventually you will lose the capability of receiving current updates to your subscription.
Hope this helps,
Moved to "My Account Online" as the best spot for it.
Have you tried right-clicking the taskbar icon the selecting "Verify Subscription"?
Unless you went into your account and turned off auto-renewal the form of payment you had on file will be automatically billed.
That said, if the subscription is actually finished, the functionality of the software will gradually decline until it no longer offers any protection whatsoever.
It should be uninstalled in the normal way via Control Panel > Programs and Features. If you need a cleanup, it's here: http://us.mcafee.com/apps/supporttools/mcpr/mcpr.asp
The ultimate answer would be obtained by phoning Customer Service, or you can use online chat and it's all free.
I might add, that should your subscription be provided through a 3rd party, and it is considered to be 'Expired'. Before installing a 'Current Active' subscription, the expired one needs to be uninstalled first. You may ask 'Customer Service' to assist you in such.
Currently the subscription verification states that it was 48 days expired but upon checking in the Security Maintenance report of Windows control panel the McAfee Protection is still active and Window Defender is still active. I assumed that if the subscription is over then McAfee should be disabled and Windows Defender will kick in
