I have a subscription for 3 PC's. How do I change that when one of the PC's is changed for another?
The best way to go about that is to uninstall the software from the old one in the normal manner, that frees up 1 license on your account page automatically. Then simply go your account page and click the big + sign to add another machine. Then download and install.
If for any reason you couldn't uninstall the software first, Customer Service can free up the account for you and it's a free phone call, see the link in my signature below.

Current situation is that one of the computers is not active any more. It was my sons' and that machine crashed beyond repair. Now, today I have setup a new computer, that came with a trial license also from Mcafee, however different product. For the moment that is OK but after the trial period I want to incorporate this new machine into my existing 3 users license. That means that I need to free up the license that is not used any longer. Reading the earlier answer from ExBrit (thanks for that) I believe I need to contact the Customer Service Helpdesk to ask them to do that for me, unless you tell me that there's a simpler way. Detail. I am actually in the Netherlands, but there will be a helpdesk there as well I suppose...
Yes Customer Service is best unless Selvan has a trick up his sleeve that can help ;-)
They have an office in the Netherlands but it is only open Monday to Friday at Services and Support for Home and Office
I checked the records and found that there are two similar Products (3 user Internet Security) available in your Email account. Please ensure that you keep the PC names handy while you contact Customer Service. You should be clear about the PC name that needs to be de-activated so as to free up a licence. Once you confirm this to the Customer Service representative he/she will free up a license for you after which you can use this on a new Computer. Make sure you remove the existing Trial Protection before migrating.

On the products, I saw that as well, two similar products, however I only receive 1 invoice... Anyway, I take it that the one expiring soonest will then get removed...
