I have had a rather frustrating afternoon with tech help. Today my phone was locked remotely by mcafee. I have been trying to find out if my cell phone was lock remotely via my account online. I thought this would be a simple question to answer however it would appear not. I am worried because using the same email address someone has attempted to access my facebook account which obviously has a different password. So I am worried that someone has logged onto my mcafee account where all my backed up data is stored and can been read and exported eg texts and contacts. All I am looking for is information regarding the activity on my account to ascertain if my account was hacked and if my data was at risk. Has anyone on here ever asked the same question and managed to get an answer?
Customer Service is who you should be speaking to regarding account matters and it's a free phone call: http://service.mcafee.com/CustomerService.aspx?lc=2057&sg=CS&pt=1
I was going to move this to Mobile Products and then thought "My Account Online" is the better spot, for now at least.
You can also access your account from a computer or another device here: https://home.mcafee.com/secure/protected/login.aspx?
Where you can quickly change passwords and other settings.

Tech help got me no where, they just kept saying that no one could access my account. I just wanted to know if someone had locked my phone from my account if so it has been hacked, which means they could have exported my texts and contact number that are automatically backed up online on my account. I have found the lack of help very frustrating. I have spent over an hour on chat and the phone to try and get an answer to no avail, so I gave up and thought I would try on here to see if anyone else has requested an activity log for their account and if they got it who did they contact.
Technical Support is not Customer Service, they are a totally different department. We have no access to anyone's account from these forums. Perhaps someone with a similar experience can help but as it's mostly peer-to-peer here you may have to wait awhile.
Phone Customer Service and ask for escalation if necessary.
I tried customer service and they sent me through to Tech help desk. I have now emailed them explaining exactly what help I require so I will what they get back to me with. Thank you for your help
Well if they fail to contact you let me know and I'll pass this on to support, but I would need to know what exactly the issue is as accounts queries are usually dealt with by Customer Service.
