Unwanted texts from telephone number 1925353903

I have McAfee Life Safe antivirus software installed on my mobile phone. I have been receiving unwanted texts from telephone number 1925353903, which my mobile network provider is charging me for. From looking at other online forums it would appear that this issue is in some way linked to McAfee mobile antivirus software, and the recommendation is to remove McAfee a/v software from my mobile. I am paying for McAfee for antivirus protection on all my devices, and am reluctant to remove McAfee a/v from my mobile. Why am I getting these spam texts, which are costing me? Would anyone in this community know how I can resolve this spam issue?

I believe most smart phones can block calls.  If yours wont do that then call your phone service provider and have them block it.  McAfee has nothing really to do with this issue, it's unwanted phone calls, pure and simple (a text is really another form of phone call).

I believe your provider is Eircom?  Then I would contact them if I were you.

McAfee software is not there to act as a call censor, but to protect the device in case of an infected download or to locate it in the event of a theft.

Hi ... thanks for your input on this. Just to update you on things - the issue is indeed related to McAfee. The problem is to do with McAfee's application software app - it is automatically sending texts whenever my McAfee antivirus is updated on my phone. I am being charged for these texts, which I wasn't aware of until recently. I have subsequently added this USA telephone number as a blocked number on my phone but I am unsure if this will resolve the problem. My mobile network provider have advised me that they cannot block this number. I am awaiting a call from a specialist technician from McAfee to hopefully resolve this issue. I am aware of others having the same problem.

Ah now that is a different kettle of fish as they say.  Your original post stated "I have been receiving unwanted texts from telephone number 1925353903" so I was focussing on incoming calls/texts etc., only.

Glad support is on to it and hope it is resolved for you soon.  I have adjusted this discussion to show "unanswered" once more.
