Re: Non-removable virus

After following the steps you indicated, initially nothing happened and I got the same virus messages (all 8).  I then uninstalled and reinstalled McAfee and it appeared that took care of the issue but the next morning all 8 virus alerts once again appeared.   So it did not work.

Any additional guidance is appreciated.

Re: Non-removable virus

Hi @My2Turns

Please reply us with the name of the threat and the Artemis ID on each threat with the storage location of the threat. I will look in to our virus definition and check if it is whitelisted.

Please follow the below steps to find the threat name/location/Artemis ID

  • Open McAfee
  • Click on three dots at the top right corner
  • Select the option “Scan info”
  • Look for the threat information.
