I placed the Ip address of *.*.207.11 (255.255.255.248) on a laptop to connnect to a Mcafee Sidewinder Firewall. As I connected to it I recieved the following error: sslerror exception Error opening cert file for writing. I am getting the certificate so that means it is connecting.
Does that mean it can't cache the certificate to the laptop or what???
Hello,
This is a tough one. I can't recall seeing this error before, and I can't find it in our databases. It seems logical that the Admin Console is unable to write certificate information to your client, but I am not sure. Do you have command line access to the firewall? I think it would make sense to look at the audit on the firewall while trying to connect.
Also look at the output of "df" to see if any partitions are full.

I do have an IP KVM hooked up to the firewall. What commands do I have to do to do an audit?

I am hoping that when I upgrade this firewall in the near future, that this behaviour will disappear.
