I had family protection, and than I deleted after I wasn't using it for a while. But now when I tried to use the Internet on my computer this morning it said that I must log in using a valid email and password. I can't redownload family protection and can't login because I don't have the application.
Thanks for the help!
It depends on what version you had as to what procedure to take to uninstall but usually it involves getting an uninstallation code as per THIS FAQ.
What version of Family Protection was installed and what operating system and service pack is this?
You obviously have access to the Internet from another source so if all else fails you can contact Technical Support. It's free by phone or online chat and available through the link under Useful Links at the top of this page.
I uninstalled it using a different application. I didn't know about the uninstall procedure. I'm not sure of the version. I am running Mac OSX Snow Leapord.
Always use the uninstaller provided by whatever software it is first before trying other tools. By doing it the way you did you've left Family Protection locks in place. I would try reinstalling and then doing it the right way.
Otherwise phone Technical Support as I mentioned in a previous post.
You haven't answered the question clearly, this is Family Protection on a MAC or are you running Windows on a MAC?.
I also need to know if you are the Administrator fo the computer in question as only that person can control Family Protection.
Have you tried repairing the Internet Connection?
Your best bet will most likely be to phone Technical Support and ask them what best to do next. They are open 9am - 9pm Eastern.
