rundll32.exe Bad Image for an Adobe file named kbdhlp.dat

I normally use a ISP cable service connection.  However, yesterday I used a Free public WiFi Hotspot connection.  The next time a rebooted, I started to get a pop-up error message at bootup on my laptop running Windows XP with all of the latest maintenance:

rundll32.exe - Bad Image\X  The application or DLL C:\Documents and Settings\JC\Application Data\Adobe\Update\kbdhlp.dat is not a valid Windows image.  . Please check against your installation diskette.

--------

Adobe support knows nothing about this.  So, I deleted the file and then, the following pop-up error message:

RUNDLL

Error loading C:\Documents and Settings\JC\Application Data\Adobe]Update\kbdhlp.dat

The specified module could not be found.

--------

I ran a full scan using the latest McAfee software, without finding this to be a problem.  I have lots of experience and although I can't guarantee, this seems to me to be a NEW virus or spyware.  McAfee support suggested that I post this information on this forum.
