A lot more adverts have started to get blocked, when I am researching some work, it appears on random safe websites. It even appeared on YouTube? Do I have Spyware on my laptop? I ran a scan and it said I'm safe, should I worry or shall I leave it?

No need to worry if it's only advertisments unless they're all for the same product or company. If you've got Chrome or Firefox install AdBlock, that will block many of them at source. Install DoNotTrackMe from Abine to keep third-party advertisers from tracking you. And there's an add-on for Chrome or Firefox which is supposed to suppress advertisments on YouTube. A little investigation on your part should find it. It might be useful, but I don't know much about it so can't recommend it yet.
