idlemonitor.exe virus removal help

Hi everyone,

I have this idlemonitor.exe on my PC. After the computer is idle for a minute it activates itself and slows down everything badly. I can shot it down in taskmanager, I even find and deleted the .exe (several copies of it in random named directories). I couldn't find the source of the infection though, it appears again and again.

Any idea how to remove it?

Re: idlemonitor.exe virus removal help

Hello,

I see multiple articles in the net about it but this one seems closer to the way of cleaning that:

Steps to Remove IDLEMONITOR.EXE Virus Completely

Also I always advise to run Autoruns and McAfee GetSusp so you can verify that the machine does not show any malicious activity.

In case above information was useful or answered your question, please select "Accept as Solution" in my reply, or give a Kudo. Thanks!
Nino
