Hi, I logged a call with McAfee because I was getting a redirect from ebay.co.uk to www.freenom.link
The first technician could not solve the problem, so I asked if , under my contract, McAfee should be able to fix it. It was very difficult to get a direct answer. He did however work very hard.
I contacted the Total Satisfaction Team who were unable to help. They indicated that it was not something McAfee was able to fix and that I should contact my computer manufacturer.
This sounds wrong to me, I have the Live Safe product and it looks like malware. I asked the second tech how to escalate and was told she would do it for me but I've heard nothing.
Anyone have a viewpoint.

Thank you I will ask our resident 2.5 Tier technician to review it.
Plus try running those applications I suggested, let us know your results please.
When you install it deactivate the real time scanning option in advanced area as it "might" clash with McAfee. We use Malwarebytes as an adjunct to Mcafee
I would also clear all Internet and windows temp files
Thanks both, temp files deleted . Ran AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes, nether reported anything.
Problem still exists, it occurs in Chrome, Edge and IE
