Hi everybody, first of all, sorry for my english, I'm Italian
I have a problem: Mc afee say that I have a virus ( a trojan ) but I know that this file is ok, so I want to put it in the " white list", so that Mc Afee will recognise it as a reliable file.
The trojan name is " Artemis ", and it's a game file ( Metin2 ): in fact, when I start the game, it try to install something but the antivirus stop it.
How can I " explain " to Mc Afee that this file isn't a virus?
No no, its'a a free online game, you only have to download the program from their website and you can play.
I searched on the net and I found some cases similar to mine with other games...
The administrators of the game suggested me to contact directly Mc Afee... what shall I do?
Hi telesk. Looks like I have the same problem. I play czech metin2. I am pretty desperate to find solution for this or my horses are going to die :-(. It happend yesterday when I wanted to start the game. I tried uninstall the game, clean the computer and than install again. The same happend again. If I scan the gamefolder McAfee doesnt find any Trojan. I am going to write the Metin team to find out what they think about it. And also I will try to disable the McAfee antivirus - the licence is expired anyway and Im using AVAST at the moment. Hope we can play again soon.
well i reas the post and it help all the way till i got to the trust list. i do not play the same game. the game that i am having problems with is called Cabal Online and this has been happing for somethime now. both Cabal and mcafee have both been upfdated lots of times and i truly think this needs to stop being pushed aside and looked at. this really isnt good.
