Need help analyzing a file - VirusTotal scan inside

Hello, not really knowledgeable enough to understand all of this, so looking for some assistance. Long story short, friends and I played a game that closed down. Someone made a private server for the game. They've already gotten hundreds of people playing so it's a little surprising McAfee is flagging this file unless everyone is just clueless. I tried doing some searches and came across this VirusTotal scan tool. The results look scarier than I'd like, so I'm hoping someone with some knowledge could do a dummy version for me.

To clarify, McAfee just keep quarantining the file and labeling it as suspect.

Re: Need help analyzing a file - VirusTotal scan inside

Hello Rival,

The detections on VT appear to be mostly heuristic-based ones, and after taking a look at this executable, it is likely that it is being deteceted (at least partially) due to the method the developer used to pack it to prevent it from being reverse engineered.

In order to help resolve this, I recommend taking  a look at one of the following articles (depending on whether this is our consumer product or enterprise product)

Consumer (Livesafe, etc)

https://service.mcafee.com/webcenter/portal/cp/home/articleview?locale=en-US&articleId=TS102053

Enterprise (Endpoint Security, VirusScan Enterprise, etc)

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB85567

Thanks!
