McAfee deletes Trojan every 3 minutes on Seagate backup drive

This is most curious. I took a client's Seagate 1TB drive and scanned it using Kaspersky.  It found a Hoax.win32.screensaver.b trojan which I deleted.

After the client replugged the drive back in to his system he receives a message every 3 minutes "a Trojan had been identified and deleted by McAfee".  So he disconnected and the message goes away.

Anyone know why this is happening (and how to fix it?)

If it's an incorrect finding then follow the guidelines in THIS thread, in particular from

"To send it to the Threat Center outside of Security Center.....

First disable your virus protection:" onwards.....

Thanks.

Is there no way of simply telling McAfee that it needs to stop checking this item?

Unfortunately they took that ability away several years ago but it is mostly re-implemented in the beta 2011 product which is in testing right now.
