Have always been led to believe
- should not keep passwords, bank account details, etc on the computer
- therefore better not to use the "auto sign in" facility as this keeps the data on the computer.
Recently verifying an account the instructions were to "copy and paste" the required data.
Queries
- Should one then always copy and paste passwords and other "sensitive" data
- using this method, if there is a "baddie", can the sensitive data be tracked/obtained?
- if one types the sensitive data into another area, for example the address bar, and does not enter it (copies it and then deletes it)
- could this data be tracked or obtained by a "baddie"?
Which is more secure?
Are any of them totally secure?
If a human "baddie" monitors a computer remotely, then all the actions would be visible. However, users rarely get this kind of attention outside
of James Bond films.
A key logger program may be fooled by some of the techniques you describe. Another trick would be keeping a typed alphabet in your notepad
or other text editor and copying necessary letters one by one.
Nothing is totally secure, of course, as malware gets more sophisticated.

Thank you very much for that idea, I'll try and work something around that.
Again your time and assistance is much appreciated.
