Just In Time Debugging and Redirects

I have a virus on my computer and cannot get rid of it. A just in time debugging window pops up and my search engines redirect. I have downloaded Spyware Dr. and Malwarebytes and it will not clean it. I have also gone into my Regedit and set my JIT Debug value to 0 per this community. Still I can't get rid of it. If I clean my computer in or out of safe mode it will go away for awhile but the redirects stay. Then eventually the Just in time debugging window pops up again and usually other virus' come with it. My Securtiy will block and clean all the "baggage", but not the Just In Time Debugging and Redirects. Any help will be appreiciated! I also went into tools and advanced options and disabled Script Debgging and Script Degging Internet. I still have a problem. Thanks

Re: Just In Time Debugging and Redirects

Moved this to Malware Discussions > Home User Assistance as possibly a better spot for it.

You should make sure that Java is up to date and any old versions are uninstalled.  (Control Panel/Programs)

You can stop the JITD window from popping up by disabling script  debugging in Internet Explorer:
-> Tools
-> Internet Options
->  tab: Advanced
-> in the list, under Browsing, check the box  "Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)" and "Disable Script Debugging (Other)"
-> click Apply, and OK

You may  also want to uncheck the box "Display a notification of every script  error".

As you've tried several malware tools you may want to download Hijackthis and post its log on one of the following forums for expert guidance:

Re: Just In Time Debugging and Redirects

The only other thing I would suggest you've already tried or so you said.  A scan with a newly updated Malwarebytes, even in Safe Mode if necessary, otherwise follow the Hijackthis advice.

Re: Just In Time Debugging and Redirects

This is what got rid it...

http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=208280684

TDSS is the name of the virus and this TDSS killer will get rid of it. YAY! I had to download it in the Zip file and then extract the files because the virus was blocking the regular download. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Re: Just In Time Debugging and Redirects

So it was a trojan, that's interesting.   Glad you found "the cure".
