Help! McAfee deletes my Radmin

We have been using Radmin (v2.2) for years to communicate our two offices using an VPN.

Today suddenly all Radmin software was not there. There is no way either to reinstall it, McAfee deletes what it thinks is a Trojan and no way to tell McAfee it's a safe known well tested sotware.

Any help? For us it's a BIG problem as the connection between our two offices is a critic feature.

Thks

Re: Help! McAfee deletes my Radmin

The (pseudo)Trojan that McAfee detects and deletes without possibility to stop it is Generic.dx!ufm on file r_server.exe during installation process, so no way to get it!

Help please!

Re: Help! McAfee deletes my Radmin

I can disable Real time analysis, install and run Radmin.

As soon as I enable Real time analysis, the trojan (the .exe file) is deleted.

How can I tell McAfee that this programs is safe? How can I stop McAfee to delete my software?

Thks

Re: Help! McAfee deletes my Radmin

Hi there,

Please let us know the following details;

What is the version of your McAfee software ?

Is your program (radmin) completely been removed / quarantined ?
If quarantined , are  you able to restore it back ?

Please get back to us with the above information and we shall proceed with this.

Hi,

i have the same problem, but with winxp SP3 and W2k3 Sp2. I attached a picture.

Thanks a lot.

Re: Help! McAfee deletes my Radmin

Still no one with a solution?

Just curious ... why someone asks for details (version, etc) as if he was really interested on the problem ... and then ... nothing?

Re: Help! McAfee deletes my Radmin

Hey Deepbuti,

Sorry for  the delayed response , but be sure that you are not left alone. If you feel that VirusScan has incorrectly deleted a file you know to be safe, you can send the file to McAfee Labs for further investigation using the steps in this link http://vil.nai.com/vil/submit-sample.aspx.

Re: Help! McAfee deletes my Radmin

For details on how to temporarily disable McAfee in order to submit the file see THIS link.

The next version allows exemptions, it is being beta tested as we speak.
