False Artemis!FFFA33B23052

Jump to solution

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise version 8.8. McAfee’s “Artemis” is detecting a Trojan Horse in the file under two different variants:

Artemis!FFFA33B23052 (Trojan) and Artemis!FCA01D156A8F (Trojan)

The first false positive is for a coupon printing installer from Coupons.com.

The installer includes an executable from Indigo Rose runtime library called irsetup.exe that is flagged as the second trojan.

I have also sent an email each to virus_research@mcafee.com.

Thanks.

Initial reply indicated that first investigation did not revealed anything.

And the case has been forwarded for further investigation.

,

There is a 'Removal Guide' for the Coupons.com (PUP) that I have suggested in the past to 'Consumers' Whether or not it will benefit Corporate Users, I am uncertain

Remove "Ads by Coupon Server" virus (Removal Guide)

All the Best
