This is a file present in the MinKNOW software from Nanopore. It is a false positive Trojan.

Please have a look.

Dear Ex_Brit,

I send some files to Virus_reaserch@mcafee.com last week for scan. I was wondering how long does it take to analysed them and If I will notified with the result of the analysis.

It can take 5 - 10 days, longer sometimes.  You should have received an auto-response immediately if you sent it correctly zipped and password-protected (encrypted) using the password infected .

There wont be a full reply normally.  The file will just suddenly be cleared.

It's 8 days now, let's wait a few more to see if gets cleared.   If not I will send  a chaser email.

Did you get a reply with an analysis ID number if not something in your sending was messed up. You need to send only 1 file in the zip and ensure the file is less than 10Mb.

I also heard from my Contact at McAfee Labs today, that due to being short-staffed/large volumes of detections they are a tad behind on submitted Detections, but are adamantly working to resolve them.
