After a successful submission you should receive a notification back from McAfee Labs. It will contain a (Analysis ID #) associated with your Detection. After following protocol of allowing 3-4 buisness days. For the Labs to analyze/process, if your issue is still not resolved. Kindly provide us the Analysis ID # and then we can contact someone internally on your behalf to escalate your case.
Please take into consideration that this is Christmas Eve/Holiday Season.
All the very Best,
After reading those instructions I'm still unsure if I'm supposed to submit a sample. It seemed to say that it wasn't necessary so I didn't.
I did send an email though to email@example.com
with subject False Artemis!35F0ECA2551D
Please know that (yes) you need to zip and password protect it using the password infected . Then of course send it. The Labs need the sample in order to analyze it, or you will continuously be blocked from accessing it.
I sent a second email 12-24 with a link to the suspect file rather than an attachment because the file size was borderline too large.
In certain scenario,s where this is the case. Please submit your detection to Virustotal.com, and send me the link to the (Hash Values) in a (Direct Message). Please do not post them on the Forum. I will follow you,and kindly accept and do so as well.
I can then escalate your case on your behalf with McAfee Labs.
Thank you for providing me the pertinent information I have escalated your case on your behalf, and your Escalation Ticket number is as follows; Ticket #: AM000785 - False Artemis (Hash Values from Virus Total)
Hopefully we will hear something in short order....
All the Best,
