DLL-FILES FIXER issue

Under Windows 7, I am getting a pop-up titled "DLL-FILES FIXER".  The pop-up message reads "Last scan Wed  Jan 21 2015 07:07 PM -197 registry errors found".  This is followed by an invitation to download software to fix the problem.

McAfee software failed to quarantine this Malware.  Does anyone know how to remove it?  Thank you

Re: DLL-FILES FIXER issue

There is a program by that name available from dll-files[dot]com, and reviews are mixed. I personally regard this as at best a Potentially Unwanted Program. CNET and Softonic both have this program, so it have been bundled with something else.

Ignore any messages it puts up and don't accept any offer to clean the registry.

If this is legit it should be shown in your list of installed programs and so it ought to be possible to uninstall it in the usual way. If you can't see it there try running Malwarebytes, which is strict on PUPs.
