Cookie-Yieldmanager

I visited a website that infected the computer with a good bit of spyware. McAfee has got rid of it all, except one little thing. Everytime I check for viruses now, it finds and cleans out a cookie called Cookie-Yieldmanager. I understand that it isn't a virus and that it may be harmless, but then again... Is there any reason to worry about it, and if so, is it possible to remove it permanently or protect the computer from accepting it at all? For all I know, it could be a very common cookie that just sometimes can be used for bad purposes, but I tend to worry when I don't know things...

Re: Cookie-Yieldmanager

Most cookies are harmless and you can, if you wish, turn off their detection altogether.   Cookies are how websites remember your details, name, user name, email etc.
