When I first boot up my computer, everything is fine, but when I leave the computer idle for ten minutes or more, I lose my internet connection. Windows Diagnostic can repair the problem and restore my connection, but only until I leave the computer idle again, and the connection is once again lost. Does anyone know what the virus is and how it can be removed? I've tried all the recommended scans, but nothing seems to find it.
Request you to run and post Stinger tool logs please find steps below
KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS TOOL IS TO BE RUN ONLY AS INDICATED IN DIAGNOSTICS MODE . DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR REPAIR BASED ON THE RESULTS OBTAINED BY THE TOOL.
Please follow the instruction given below to run the Tool in Very High Sensitivity level with REPORT ONLY mode. ( Note: If the scan is initiated with a high sensitivity mode and set to repair , It might cause ire-repairable damages to the machine hence always run it in REPORT ONLY MODE)
Stinger is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to assist administrators and users when dealing with an infected system. Stinger utilizes next generation scan engine technology, including process scanning, digitally signed DAT files, and scan performance optimizations.
Thank you so much for replying, but I did run Stinger before I posted my query. However, a couple of days ago, I let PC Pitstop scan my registry. They found 292 threats, mostly low level, but two high level. I subscribed to them, and they fixed the threats. Apparently one was the worm because my problems have all been fixed and my computer is now running like new., Sorry, I should have posted this result.
