Artemis!E8003D34AFBB false positive

.exe File known to be safe by other users. Would an "allow" functionality not prevent the thousands of these requests?

Re: Artemis!E8003D34AFBB false positive

You need to submit it to mcafee as per

http://vil.nai.com/vil/submit-sample.aspx

When you get the auto reply change teh subject to Suspected false +ve and name of detection. Ask them to review it and say why.

If you do not get a reply in 3 days post back and i will stir the pot.

That said using a trust option or allow you would find heaps of users just click allow without thinking and throughly virus their PC.  Though for experienced users could be useful but I do see problems.

Re: Artemis!E8003D34AFBB false positive

I am having a little bit of difficulty with the instructions. Sorry for my ignorance...My file is currently located inside a image file (.iso). If I try to extract it anywhere to zip it for sending, it gets deleted before I get the chance. The current file is way too large for sending. Is there another way, or should I turn off the scanning and just extract it then? Thanks again for your help.
