Today (2010/03/09) a potentially unwanted program, Artemis!7931E746673B, was detected on my system.  The first report said "Cannot be repaired" followed a bit later with "Excluded"  I searched the web for this item and found nothing.  Does anyone know what this is and if I should worry about it?

Thanks

Jerry.,

What is the name of the file ?

Probably that might help McAfee track it. Artemis detections are heuristic detections and sometimes there may be false alarms as well. Please provide the filename and the location where it was found.

Thanks:

The following are the details from Mcafee:

File:C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\avdb\temp\B42F3BAB.vbt

Process:C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\pctsSvc.exe

Process description:PC Tools Security Service

That is all the info that I have.

Jerry,

Going by the name of the software, This is 99% a false detection.

Spyware Doctor is an Antispyware program and McAfee is just being too aggressive.

Please ignore.
