Artemis!352C332253AB False Positive.

Jump to solution

I'm very new to this forum and don't know much about it, or where to put my questions etc. Hopefully this is the right place. I have over 10 people whom I know using other anti-virus programs using a program called Magebot for 2+ years and nothing has occured. I tried to install the program on my new computer but for some reason, whenever I install it, Mcaffee detects it as a trojan and removes the file automatically. Is there a way to make it a trusted file? Or how can I get Mcafee to stop detecting this?

The trojan is called Artemis!352C332253AB.

Thank you all in advance.

Hi,

The Artemis detection has been suppressed. Kindly allow approx 1-2 hrs for it to get suppressed.

You need to submit it to mcafee as per

http://vil.nai.com/vil/submit-sample.aspx

When you get the auto reply change teh subject to Suspected false +ve and name of detection. Ask them to review it and say why.

If you do not get a reply in 3 days post back and i will stir the pot.

Hi omar123,  Dont listen to thisn peacekeeper  guy, I have posted here and they do nothing for me check out my post

https://community.mcafee.com/thread/44141?tstart=0

you can see how they treat me and what I have done as they have asked.  Try AVG  or TrenMicro they have a button to trust a false positive program.

I have sent an email and gotten an auto-reply, but how/where would I change the subject?

Once again, I'm sorry if it's a stupid question but I'm fairly new to this.
