RE: Adware-kwinzy.dll

Gave you your own thread as this is something different to what the other poster had.

Download, update and run the free version of these two tools:

http://www.superantispyware.com/superantispywarefreevspro.html

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Remove anything they detect and reboot if asked to.

RE: Adware-kwinzy.dll

Good luck.:)

Adware-kwinzy.dll

Good morning,

I installed both programs you suggested, ran scans, got some infections removed, rescanned with Mcafee still show Adware-kwinzy.dll in c:/system volume information\restore.. etc

Scan results: Adware-kwinzy.dll - can not be completely removed

McAfee has attempted to disable the program, but some parts of it cannot be removed. In most cases, the program will no longer run. If you restart and rescan your computer and the same program is detected again, you can send it to McAfee Avert Labs for analysis.

Samples must be sent to spyware_research@avertlabs.com (subject line: "MAS Content") in a .ZIP flie. The .ZIP file must be no larger than 3 MB, contain no more than 30 files, and be password-protected using the password "infected" (without quotation marks).

So any more suggestions, I'm not sure how to send a sample to this email address.

Thanks so much!

RE: Adware-kwinzy.dll

"System Volume" is your System Restore folders and is protected by Windows.

Disable System Restore, reboot and that will be gone. You can then re-enable System Restore.
