I am having the same problem. I run my McAfee scan and says I have Adware-OneStep.b and what file it is, but it will not delete it all. How do I get rid of the Adware-Step.b?
Me also, very frustrating. I contacted customer support. He had me download a freescan, it detected a problem, I clicked fix. It took me to a site to upgrade McAfee! ARGH! What good is McAfee if I need to turn around and buy premium edition to fix Adware? Hopefully someone has a better answer for us.Message was edited by: Angela64 on 12/19/10 9:06:42 PM CST
Soooo... is there anyone from McAfee that will help? ? ? ? ? I'm sure that we must not be the only people with this, I've been fighting it a couple of days and finally wrote in for help. Sorry that others are having the same problem.
We also cannot remove the Adware-OneStep.k that was found during a scan. I searched the virus list, and it says it was discovered 12/10, and requires DAT 6193. Our software is up-to-date, however. I've tried a couple of other malware removal tools without success, too.
Why is McAfee not removing this, especially if it is already in the database?
I got the same problem here and must admit im kinda disappointed with McAfee for not resonding in this tread at all,
Atleast they could try and give us some reasurring words and/or a solution if they wanted.
There is a way to get rid of a Adware Onestep program on the internet by manually deleting
specific files but thats not even doable if your not all that good with computters and all.
Least thing McAfee could do now is post this here that way we would not have to spend our
whole evening on the web looking for solutions, therefore McAfee do something for us paying clients pls.
