how to check DAT set version of VirusScan Commond Line for Unix v6.0.X

Jump to solution

Hi everyone,

I'd like to know how to check DAT set version of VirusScan Commd Line for Unix V 6.0.X. What is the command?

I tried command 'uvscan --version'. It only shows the version of VirusScan Commd Line, without mentioning anything about its DAT set version.

Regards,

Danny

Hm, it returns the engine & dat version for me. See below.

root@administrator-desktop:/usr/local/uvscan# uvscan --version
McAfee VirusScan Command Line for Linux32 Version: 6.0.3.356
Copyright (C) 2010 McAfee, Inc.
(408) 988-3832 LICENSED COPY - July 28 2011

AV Engine version: 5400.1158 for Linux32.
Dat set version: 6593 created Jan 18 2012
Scanning for 663206 viruses, trojans and variants.

root@administrator-desktop:/usr/local/uvscan#

Are you sure you waited until the command prompt returned ?

You're right, rackroyd. I didn't wait it to return. It seems the reason why I wasn't able to see the remaining information below. Thanks a lot!
