disabling block on Executing WSL not working due to invalid Quarantine folder

In Security settings, I have disabled the block on Windows Subsystem for Linux, but I cannot apply my changes because the chosen 'Quarantine folder' is invalid. It is set to the default option of 'C:/Quarantine'.

How do I solve this issue? Thanks

Re: disabling block on Executing WSL not working due to invalid Quarantine folder

Hello @tomkeane07 ,

With the explanation, I see the security settings you are referring to is a McAfee define Access Protection rule "Executing Windows Subsystem for Linux" for Windows.

I tried the same, disabling the rule for both report and block, I was able to save the same without any errors specifying regarding the Quarantine location, I could not see how that is related.

Could you please help us with any error that you receive where it does mention that the action can not be saved due to incorrect Quarantine location?

Was my reply helpful?
