Removal Tool for Mac

Jump to solution

Hi again,

Is there some sort of removal tool for Mac devices, similar to removal tools for Windows (e.g. EPR)? I need a tool to manually remove ENSM and agent for a Mac device.

Thanks!

Hi @cy_al

There is no such tool but I do know it is being discussed internally. If you have an issue with an installation which can't be removed with a regular removal task from ePO then you can try the steps mentioned in this KB: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB88461

Generally the command sudo /usr/local/McAfee/uninstall EPM works.

Also what tends to fix the installation, is if you take a standalone version - run it on the machine and then run the above mentioned command to clean up the installation. Even if the installation attempt doesn't work, it tends to install some files which then ensures a successful removal attempt.
