Querying VirusScan Enterprise for Linux status via ssh and script?

Just a dump question.

First, I'm not very familiar with McAfee VirsuScan Enterprise. No matter for Linux or Windows. But, for Customer Acceptance Testing I need to come up with a simple proof that the AV engine/agent on a bunch of distributed Linux servers (OEL) is in fact receiving DAT file updates and is running as expected. This is not about using the EICAR but rather to verify that DAT updates have been received by each server, what version is installed and whether AV protection is up and running on each host. I'd need to run the test from a central Windows based terminal server, accessing the Linux boxes via ssh. Is there any command line interface or such I could use in a script to query the VirusScan engine?

Many thanks in advance!

Regards,

Holger

You wont get any help for this in Community Help so moved it to Business > Mac & Linux Products.
