Port used to Download definition in linux

Hello Guys

Just to have an understatimg about the port user to update the definition from the epo server could you tell me if there is some difference between the Windows and Linux Agent.

We have a subnet where our network admin told me is not availble the epo agent, and in fact in Windows does not communicate and we can not update the definitions. In that subnet is permitted only  the protocol http and https

Instead, in Linux, with the ePO agent installed is it possible to update the definitios by portal https://hostname:55443. this is because in linux the update is done through the HTTPS port?

how it works??
